About

24 years of putting pipe where you cannot dig.

Trenchmark Underground Co. is a trenchless and underground utility contractor based in Conway, SC. We do one thing: get a pipe or a conduit from one side of an obstacle to the other without opening up what is on top of it.

Who we are

A bore crew, not a general contractor with a drill

Plenty of outfits own a directional drill. Far fewer will tell you, on the phone, that the crossing you have drawn is the wrong method - because that conversation costs them the job. We would rather have the reference than the change order.

The work is specialized on purpose. Every operator on our payroll runs the same machines every week, every supervisor holds the 30-hour card, and the person who prices your bore is the person who has to stand behind it when the ground turns out to be different from the boring log.

What that buys you is a number you can carry into a bid without padding it, and a crew that will still be there when the drive hits something nobody drew.

Where we work

Mobilised, not local

A bore crew is a traveling crew. We keep a yard in Conway and take the iron wherever the crossing is, which for us means the Carolinas and the Georgia coast.

  • South Carolina
  • Coastal Plain
  • Midlands
  • Upstate
  • Eastern North Carolina
  • Coastal Georgia

Out-of-town work is priced with per diem and lodging included, stated on the bid, so a job two hundred miles away does not arrive as a surprise line item later.

The yard

What we own

A capability you have to rent is a capability you cannot schedule. This is ours, with our operators on it.

  • Directional drills

Four rigs from 24,000 to 100,000 lb of pullback, with the mud systems and recyclers to match.

  • Auger boring machines

Track machines covering 12 through 72 inch casing, with the power packs and pit gear.

  • Guided bore systems

Pilot tube rigs with theodolite guidance for gravity work on a fixed invert.

  • Microtunnel boring machine

Closed-face slurry MTBM with laser guidance for drives below the water table.

  • Locating and survey

Walkover and wireline locating, vacuum excavation trucks, and GPS survey for as-builts.

  • Support fleet

Excavators, cranes, trench shoring, dewatering pumps and the trucks to keep it all moving.
